So Massachusettsers
You all have some esssplaining to do

How did this guy get elected

Governor Mitt Romney: "This points out again the extraordinary reality of global, violent, radical Jihadism. We don’t know who is responsible for this attack, but there's no question but that the violence that we see throughout the world is violence which is not limited to Iraq and Afghanistan, but is more global in nature.

We don't know who did it but it was jihadists who do things throughout the world in a global kind of way

2. That's Massachusettans, moran.
But to answer your question, there's a perverse history of electing Repub governors when the Dems are getting too comfy and the Democratic Party candidate is a buffoon or seriously deficient as a candidate.

Yes I know that before the current Gov the last Dem was Dukakis. This fact astonishes folks I talk to around here.

5. Jean Swift was doomed from the beginning, it was an easy win
I do know some people who voted for him, but they were typically tyrannical greedy fucks at work.

12. Well you know through an alcohol haze he does sort of
cut out the general features of suited responsible guy

To be honest I really think that is the basis of his current campaign-he not only looks like a template cardboard cutout of a straight-whitemale-Republican he actually acts like one too.

13. We just had a shit-bad candidate ...
and after Dukakis getting trounced in '88, I think people turned away from the Dems. Took a while for them to come back.
