Some asshole ran over my mailbox.
Edited on Fri Dec-28-07 02:58 PM by Deep13
The neighbor across the street saw someone turn around in his driveway. When backing out the driver managed to smash my mailbox. The driver left without leaving a note or anything. I made a police report for all the damn good that will do.

Two years ago, someone took a dump in our mailbox. WTF??? Why does this town hate my mailbox?

1. A drunk driver hit our mailbox when I was growing up.
He had a Corvette, the mailbox had a 2" steel pipe embedded in several feet of concrete. The Corvette didn't fair very well at all, nor did the mailbox, but that was far less expensive to repair/replace.

2. I am not an asshole, I am a PERFORMANCE ARTIST.
You should feel lucky that I decided not to charge you for witnessing my artistic expression. I offered it to you gratis.

:harumph:

Bummers about the mailbox - some people really are just assholes.

3. How can you tell it was an asshole?
Did it leave a streak?

Sorry. Hope your insurance covers it.

4. I backed into someone's granite mailbox post and it snapped right off
At the ground. Apparently granite is easy to break. I'm a visiting nurse and was visiting the guy's mother, I gave him my name and number, and I'm expecting a bill for around $700 coming into my mailbox soon.
My car insurance would have paid, but I'd get surcharged around $1000 over the next 3 years.

5. How do you take a dump in a mailbox?
Sounds physically awkward, to say the least.

7. I saw the result, not the act.
Whoever it was put out his cigarette in it afterwards.

6. "...someone took a dump in your mailbox?" I'm trying really hard to picture
the physical gyrations required for a person to do that in a standard roadside mailbox, and it's making my brain hurt.

No wonder it bugs you that someone did that.
