I have a question for the techies in the Lounge.

I have a cellphone that is not bluetooth enabled. I am not going to upgrade the phone because I do not want to be locked into another two year contract. I was wondering if there are headsets that are wireless but not bluetooth that would work on my cellphone (it has a 2.5 mm headset jack) or am I stuck with either getting both a bluetooth adapter (which is clunky as hell) and bluetooth headset, or just having the damned wired earphone.

with a transmitter/receiver that plugs into the jack. But when I looked, all the headphones I found were big, bulky things for use in the home, not on a cell phone.

3. Here's what you do:

Get some flexible plastic tubing. Twenty feet should do. Duct tape one end to the speaker on the cell phone. Wrap the other end with duct tape to make that end softer and then duct tape that to a headband.

Viola! Problem solved.
