So I watched Hannah Montana and I just don't get it
She's a girl who lives the secret life as a rock star and yet people don't recognize her with the wig on? And what's with that really really fake Tennessee accent. I know people born & raised in Tennessee and they don't sound even a quarter as bad as the way Hannah Montana speaks.

What's the big deal with this kid?

1. This is America. The dumber and less talented one is, the higher one will explode in fame
and supposed relevance.

8. I think with this demographic it's more the plot line.
How many of us never fantasized about being a huge star when we were in middle school? Hell, I sure did. But this is the best of both worlds, (as the song goes). She lives a normal life and then gets to be a star onstage.

It's pretty cute, actually.

12. I think it's all part of the fantasy aspect.
I know BabyMidlo has no desire to be a star like Britney or Jamie Lyn or Lindsay because she has seen their choices. But if she could go to school and be a regular kid and then go up on stage every night? She'd be in hog heaven. Same sort of story line as the Partridge Family. Big stars, but they never left their little town and went to the same schools.

2. I have no idea.
I'm lucky that my 10 year old isn't interested in her either. I can't imagine waiting in line for days to get tickets to see her. Crazy. :silly:

If it can happen to her, it can happen to anyone.
(even men!)

4. BabyMidlo loves her. It's pretty harmless as far as television goes.
And, she's leading a normal life with her family, so hopefully she won't be the next Britney or Lindsay.

I think she has a pretty good voice for a young kid, too.

Think The Judds, only with less talent.

14. My 7 year old Daughter loves Hannah Montana and Aly and AJ
It's tolerable I suppose. Aly and AJ at least write their own songs......She's up with a friend of hers and my wife at an Aly and AJ gig at Ram's Head in Baltimore right now....

I have taken her to see Bob Dylan and Squeeze this year......she fell asleep at both. My 9 yo son described Dylan as a cross between a Hobo and an angry mouse....I had to grant him his point.

19. Is she suppose to be from Tennessee?
I just assumed she was from Montana given the fake last name and all.

My daughter loves her. We got her the Hannah Montana video game for the Wii and it's cute to watch her mimic the cheesy dance moves.
