Having suspicious neighbors sucks...
A couple of friends of mine, an engaged couple, just got a house together, and last night was their first night at the house. Well, they ended up getting visited by the police, because a neighbor called and said that two "suspicious" cars were parked in front of the house, and he thought the house was being robbed. My friends had to prove to the police they belonged at the house, at least they had the papers on them, thank goodness! But still, how's that for a first impression of a neighbor?

1. I hate that too.
My stupid neighbours keep closing the blinds when I stare through their windows. Being naked is natural! What's the big deal anyways?!

2. well if they go out of town
the neighbors will be sure to watch their house

that's a pain in the ass, but the neighbors must have been concerned...

3. My dear Solon!
Actually, that is a good kind of neighbor to have...

It's unfortunate, though, that your friends had to deal with them right off the bat...

But the fact remains that neighborhoods with people like them have fewer break-ins...

In the long run, this will benefit your friends!

I hope they get past this rough patch, and become friends...

:hi:

the busybody didn't know anyone was moving in, hence they called the cops

this is very useful kind of neighbor to have, i actually wish i had my busybody back, he was an ex-cop and it's a good way to make sure that no bad guy is going to have much chance to go thru my stuff while i'm gone

if they travel at all, or have to be gone during the day while working, they'll learn to be grateful for the busybody

oh, and another thing, when going on vacation, i introduced the busybody and my house sitter, so the busybody would know he was cool

it works out, it's like having a free guard dog you don't have to feed

also this is a cute story that they'll laugh about later, looking back on the stories of when their home was new
