Guy Clark is awesome
I am watching Sierra Center Stage on PBS right now. I think he has to be one of the best songwriters alive (and better than many who are dead too). Very cool stuff.

and Texas Cookin' are two of my all time favorite Guy Clark tunes (also Desperadoes and Rita Ballou)
one damn fine song wrter and performerperson

6. I love that song
I had a boyfriend once who built wooden boats. Still does I guess but that relationship is over. That song reminds me of him though.

I think Guy Clark used to live in Rockport (though he is from elsewhere in Texas) and either worked on shrimp boats or helped to build them. He also used to be married to my coworkers sister many, many years age. It didn't last long apparently.
