Looking out the window.
Book in my hand, jewelry on the table.
Bare feet.

Music whirls around my head.
Humming out of tune.
Warm sweater.

Tick, tick, ticking the clock.
What it means, I know not.
Ringing hour.

Picture in a frame.
Time goes by.
Thinking back.

The mirror reflects me.
Eyes looking through.
Hope comes.

Fears are fading.
Light is coming.
I’m here.
