I think Racheal Ray is a drunk!
Hubby got me one of her cookbooks for Xmas (cute of him eh?) and 2 out of 3 recipes has booze in it

we're sober for years and I don't keep vermouth, red wine, white wine and scotch around to cook with

:banghead:

anybody want a cookbook?

1. There are some tricks you can use to get the effect of red and white wine
Try substituting Grapefruit Juice or Pineapple Juice in place of white wine (depending on the sweetness)

For red wine, grape juice works well.

If marinading, make sure you double the marinade times.

I got all kinds of cool tricks :)

3. Grapefruit - or if you want to really go all out
Grapefruit, white cranberry and white grape juice mixed.

The grapefruit will give you the citric acid needed to tenderize the meat
the other two will cut the acidic taste of the grapefruit.

8. That would work too
You could go with cooking wine - trust me, you don't want to drink that stuff. But you know yourself.

7. yeah, Mr. Ketchup thought he was doing a good thing as I love 30 minute meals
I was looking through it today to come up with a pasta dish

wine in everydamnedthing

maybe I'll invest in a bottle of non alcoholic white wine and just add some rice vinegar to it to cut the sweetness.......
