Recommendations wanted - Excercize DVDs you have used and are good
Right now I'm not ready to join a gym. Trying to save costs. And until I get a bit more daylight in the evenings, walking can be limited.

I have an Amazon Gift card I got for Xmas. Part of it is being used on the Blue-Ray disc of "Song Remains the same". That leaves me with some money leftover that I would like to put towards a work-out DVD.

Who has used what in the past? I don't need anything Yoga or Pilates - I have those already. Just want something I can use to jump around a bit in the morning to get the blood flowing and fat burning.

Anyone have something they recommend from past use?

1. Have you tried the Tae Bo dvd's?
I am weaker on my left side due to multiple sclerosis, and when I wanted to exercise, I had Billy Bank's Tae Bo recommended to me.

I did the exercises for about 8 monthes and got some decent weight loss.

I am going to start using them again when I can psych myself up to it.

7. Billy Blank and his Tae Bo are the only exercise videos I ever enjoyed
I could keep up with them mentally and they were a fun workout.

Two other suggestions: If you have Comcast OnDemand where you live, look in their Health and Fitness section. They have a lot of different types of exercise videos for free, and they change them all the time so people don't get bored.

Also, I bought a PlayStation and a DDR pad over a year ago, and I haven't done an exercise video since then. I use it all the time because I like it (not because I "have to"), it's a terrific cardio workout once you get past the beginner levels, and it's tremendously fun! I even convinced my husband to start doing DDR too, and sometimes my friends come over for a little friendly competition. Playing DDR might seem geeky on the surface, but it blows the treadmills or exercise videos out of the water.

2. I have used the ZUMBA dvds in the past.
They are very expensive on Amazon - $50, but I bought mine for $20 a while back, and they are a good energy boost.

13. Do you like yoga? Seane Corn's Vinyassa routine was, for me,
fantastic for setting up a preliminary yoga practice.

After that, I just added weight lifting and aerobic exercise.

But yoga was essential.

14. Leslie Sansone's walking videos are pretty good.
Except I just got tired of doing the same routines over and over. She has some new ones out... saw them on QVC this week.

15. Go to Amazon and get Jillian Michael's DVDs
Trust me, sissy. If you have any local friends, try to get one or two to come over and do it with you. It makes it more fun.
