4. Clapton's a good guitarist
and I've seen some videos of him doing this song but I just don't feel it when he plays.

9. Sorry, SRV copied Hendrix' style
SRV didn't do anything on a guitar Hendrix didn't and couldn't do, but that Hendrix did better. Hendrix was one of the great guitar pioneers, as SRV would readily admit if alas he were still with us.

Obviously Hendrix was a huge influence on SRV. But as to the question at hand, SRV's cover of Little Wing is clearly the better of the two.

The best version for me is the live one from the album Hendrix In The West. I also have a great live version that I tape-recorded from Hendrix at the Olympia auditorium in Paris, France in 1968.
