4. Funny you should mention that...
Home for the holidays last week, and my Mom started talking about making snow ice cream, and she says, "Don't you remember when you kids used to do that?"

My brother and I just exchanged curious glances, and I said, "Mom, that sounds like one of those 'Great Depression' things YOU might have done when you were a kid."

"Oh yeah," she says. "I guess you're right."

Now Mom isn't in the early stages of dementia -- she's been this way all her life!

5. Well, I wasn't born until 1963, so I don't know about the Depression-era origin
of snow ice cream, and my own mom (who introduced me to it) was born in the mid-40s. So, you can just chalk both of us up to dementia. :rofl:

I love that stuff, but I can't see it in snow cream. :P

Now that I think about it, we sometimes used maple syrup too. :-)
