A family member served and took
these pics. One of the many I am
trying to scan for them. Sorry about
the size......

2. Not broken....
just have not got but
1 flying pic scanned.
Not sure if it is the
same chopper.
This was at their base
in Korea, if I recall
correctly, he calls it
'Rat Hill'.

Let me get the flying one...

B and W to me...
Looks just like the
original I have here
on the desk

edit to add: the camera was
purchased there and the film
developed there. He actually
got in trouble (minor) for bringing
the camera back to the states

9. Not sure....
he calls the area at their
base, 'Rat Hill', not far from
Propaganda Village. He has pics
of that and of the bridge of no
return.

11. He was up on the DMZ, then.
theres a couple of tiny bases up there. I visited them, but never stayed more than a day.
I have some pics of that bridge, too! You're not supposed to take pics of it, but everyone does.

12. Yes,
he has told me several of
the pics were no-nos. What
amazed me though was, even though
they would not give him certain
pics he took, they gave him the
negatives.

19. Camp Bonifas, perhaps?
Camp Bonifas<1> is the US Army post closest to the Korean Demilitarized Zone, or more accurately, closest to the Joint Security Area and Panmunjeom. Camp Bonifas is home to the United Nations Command Special Security Battalion, which pulls guard duty in the DMZ, and also in the JSA. The guards also conduct special tours of the JSA. The camp has a gift shop which sells DMZ and JSA related souvenirs.

--------------

I was stationed at Camp Casey for a while back in 1998. Those were the times, man.

8. Cool pics
Back before the latest neocon wetdream in the ME I used to like military flight sims. Actually I still do, but time, and current events keep me away from them. My father also served in the military, career Navy pilot who served in Vietnam. Anyhow, I am still fascinated with what aeronautical engineers can make fly.
