1. I am rooting for LSU...
I heard that if I dare to root for OSU, the Alumni Association will come and take away my diploma.

3. I want LSU to win, being my alma mater and all....
but I'm not convinced that they can pull it off. My gut tells me that they're going to make LOTS of costly mistakes. Really and truly, their performance this year has in no way been that of a championship team- many of their wins appeared to be outright gifts from the football gods....

So I'll watch and cheer for them, but I'm not going to make any bets on this one....

The University of Minnesota has this penchant for firing the wrong people. The AD has to go, but somehow manages to keep his job.

43. Actually, it was UGA (or Richt, at any rate) who thought they should be in the Show
Everyone out here was thrilled just to sneak into the BCS. An occasional mainland pundit may have bloviated about "the only undefeated" belonging in the Show, but that's all.

Meanwhile, Richt was openly lobbying the poll voters to put his team, the one that finished second in its division, into the Show. :eyes:

12. Depends on OSU's defense and preparedness.
Athletically they match up.

It's that OSU is just historically bad at defending offenses like LSUs.

I think it's going to be a long night if they're the team that came up against Flah-Duh.

17. OSU
by ten points...I've watched LSU play five times this year, and I'm not impressed in the least bit...plus, hearing how good LSU is, all year long by the media (ESPN), I've gotten to dislike the Tigers a bit this year.

20. Wrong?
Well, we will see...:D

I don't think I'm going out on a limb...with the media shoving LSU down our throats all year long, I had the pleasure of watching them five times...3 of which, LSU barely won...and 1 in which a weak Arkansas team beat them, and the all powerful team at Kentucky beat them. Doesn't seem to be a dominating team to me, but thats just me...if LSU was as good as the media states they were, they should have steam rolled everyone...not have 4-7 close games, and lose two games to weaker squads...but hey, its just a sign of the whole college football season...all the powerhouses got upended at least twice(except OSU).

As a college football hater(in general), this season brought a big smile to my face...and WVU gave me the biggest smile so far....:D

29. LSU's losses, don't forget, were to SEC teams.
SEC's the toughest conference in the country, bar none. Rarely does a team come out of the SEC unscathed (ask Georgia ...).

Who did OSU play again? Dayton Middle School?

38. Yeah, just like OU's two losses were to Big 12
teams...and USC's two losses were against Pac-10 teams....and OSU's only loss was to a Big 10 team....

As far as SEC's being the toughest conference...who knows  hardly any of the conference powerhouses meet each other during the year, and during bowl time, its usually blow outs(just like this year)....

The best bowl game(at least competition wise) was the Michigan vs. Florida game....

44. Well this year that has been the major trend in college football?
Right now as I type this post Kansas is beating VT in the Orange Bowl and most people have picked VT to win in a wash. They did the same with West Virginia this year inb the Fiesta Bowl and they blewout Oklahoma.

46. agreed,
I'm watching the KU/VT game also, and I never thought...in all my life, I'd see KU in the Orange Bowl....and what tops that, they are leading agaisnt VT, who usually is a decent powerhouse(at least top 14 team)....against a perennial loser like KU.

...Because I don't want my dad to have to go through OSU losing ANOTHER national championship game.First the football championship last year... Then the men's basketball championship... And a few weeks ago, an NCAA soccer championship too.

Also, I kind of like Ohio State. Not as much as Colorado, but my Buffs didn't have the best season, sooo yeah.
