6. And a heapin' helpin' of hostility
That I will save for the next time he rants about my dog...

Shoot! She even heard them, and instead of barking, she perked up her ears, looked at me, and I had her go inside.
(She and I were outside...me reading, taking some clean night air, her lying down at my feet being the love that she is.)

Not a peep out of the dog...am thinking she's saving up for a REALLY big and meaningful moment :rofl:

14. No. No you shouldn't.
So you talk to your neighbor within the next several days.

Y=You
N=Neighbor

Y: Wow, quite the party, huh?
N: Yeah.
Y: Maybe next time, let me know so I can make other arrangements for my family for the evening. Granted, it's a HUGE inconvenience, but I want to be a good neighbor and not have to call the cops because I was left unaware of what was happening over there.

Passive aggressive? Yeah, probably. Will they get the idea? Yeah, probably.

Human nature says they never call on your barking dog again. They've got more to lose, I bet.

16. it depends. Did he invite you to the party?
I have a similar neighbor, though. She is one of those that calls the cops over anything. I should have known she would be trouble when she called the police about a disturbance when we first moved in- because of boys on skateboards in front of our house! And she always thought that it was my dogs barking, even if they were inside. I finally called the cops on her after finding some dog poo on the side of my house that butts her yard. I had just painted my own house, so I knew that it was new. I honestly think that she saw it and thought "that irresponsible woman- let's her dogs bark all night and now that have pooped in my yard!" Hard to say, but when you leave on a street that leads to the greenbelt, a reasonable explanation might be that another dog, on their way back from the greenbelt, left it and the owner didn't clean it up.

She left us alone for awhile though. Now we're just waiting for her to die.

Good luck.
