Not only do they like to use their lawn equipment early in the morning, but they love to use their power tools or work on their cars until about 10:00 pm when wrestling or a fishing show must come on.
Not only that but it's the only neighborhood I've lived in where they turn their car stereos up so loud so that they can hear them over the noise of their power tools.
It's gotten so bad the last five years that you can't even open your windows and let fresh air in when the weather is nice. You can't hear your stereo, TV or yourself even think.

Not that there's anything wrong with wrestling or fishing (in Seinfeld's voice).

Football is even too complicated to discuss with some of these goons. Several years ago when the wife and I were doing some "quite" gardening, the one who lives closest to us came up to the fence, beer in hand and started talking to us. When we brought up the subject of how he thought the Jaguars were going to do that year his reply was, "They suck now that they got a (black) quarterback!"

The word that he really used needs not be repeated.

I'll take the early leaf blower and give you the bass guitar and percussion playing along to really loud music at 11:30 at night during the week.

ETA- I forgot to mention that they are night people and the talking/yelling/partying is extremely audible through the wall in the middle of the night. Not as loud as the patio parties though.

I want to move closer to work anyway.

Okay, it's western NY--we should be buried under a mountain of snow in January, but thanks to global warming (that "doesn't exist" :sarcasm:) it was up to 70 friggin' degrees last week. Tried to look on the bright side: there was no white stuff, so no snowblowers; the leftover autumn leaves were all wet and soggy, so no leafblowers; likewise, the grass is all mushy and brown, so no lawnmowers.

That was my theory. But I was proven wrong by some moran who apparently had an itch he was dying to scratch. Heard a "brrrrrrmmmmmmmmmm" for an HOUR--and there he was, down the street apiece, driving his riding mower/tractor over his front lawn which, I must point out, is smaller than the quilt on my queen-size bed.

What was he accomplishing?

I. Have. No. Freakin'. Idea. :grr:

Like Hummers, these machines are for the dick deficient. Their operators love to go around waving their "wand." These guys wouldn't be caught dead with a broom or a rake.
