Tonight on tap at Tavernertavern: Dogfish Head Brews
One of these (which I think is my favorite beer right now, this stuff is FUCKING AWESOME!!!)

Then one of these (which is always a good call, wish they came in 22 oz bottles)

And then one of these (it's OK - honestly, I don't think their 60-minute IPA's are in a league with their India Brown Ale and 90-minute IPA's)

I also like their Raison D'Etre; though I have to be in the mood for something really sweet. :D
Enjoy! :toast:

2. Raison D'Etre - I picked up one of those too
haven't popped it yet - that'll probably be tomorrow's brew.

It looks interesting - a Belgian with raisins...

3. I've only ever had their Indian Brown Ale
It was really nice and packed a little punch too. I should branch out and try some more of their stuff, it's a fairly local brew for me.

Right now I have a six of Victory's St. Boisterous. It's not the best they have to offer but it's still pretty tasty and I wanted to try a seasonal

5. Their IBA is really really good.
Try their 90-minute IPA. It's really good, packs a punch and runs at 9% :)

8. Gotta try that...
Unfortunately, I have to travel to get DH beers. They aren't available in CA, and I was quite amazed that they were available in Phoenix.

10. good luck getting 'smooth' out of a 40-proof beer!
You'll probably end up with "complex character" or "subtle woody tones," but whatever it tastes like you're gonna get beheadsmacked. For a unique challenge, you can try the ironman boilermaker... drop a shot of moonshine (or everclear, if the good stuff isn't available) into your pint of 120-minute. Keep away from flames.

11. Hahahahaa...no thanks :)
I bought 4 a while back, and had the one...and that was ALL I NEEDED all night long.

Still, I don't think it tasted a drop over 12%...

12. My next AZ Brewquest will involve Pangea
There's only so much room in my hard-shell luggage to bring good brews back (yes, I schlepped 10-12 bottles from PHX to OAK)

I brought back some god stuff incl. some Alesmiths, some Great Divide IPA, Pizza Port Wipeout and some other good finds.

14. Dogfish Head has a brewpub within a couple of miles from here
in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Dogfish Head is a point of land on an island off the coast of Maine. A woman I know used to vacation there with her family; one of the DH owners family vacationed there, too.

I drank too many DH's, and am now drinking much more of the locally brewn Flying Dog. FD bought out the Frederick Brewing Company, maker of Wild Goose and Blue Ridge beers, but Flying Dog is better. Love their IPA.

21. Strange distribution on DH
They're all over the East Coast, pretty much from Maine down to Florida going as far west as Illinois and even as far South as Texas. For some reason (no idea why) you can find it in Arizona, which is where I picked up mine.

California, Oregon and Washington are places DH is hard to find.

22. Drink bud? only if its the only thing around
But usually I can always find a Sam Adams (America's Greatest Macrobrew, IMHO) somewhere here.

And if by chance all I have to drink are the American Pale Lagers of Budweiser style, I would rather drink Michelob, Heniken or Pabst.
