I was two weeks away from making the decision to move again, back to Tucson, to try and get one of the many teaching jobs available there.

Now I get to stay her, dont have to move, and will still be near my son and grandchildren! :D

Have been doing a lot of substitute teaching at the high school, and have found I genuainely like most of the kids.

If anything, I now have my foot in the door, and can contract for the fall in a different position sometime this spring.

30. Things are fine in the landlord department

Gave myself a couple of days to not be so mad, then called him. I said, You know you can't raise our rent retroactively, right?

He wanted to know what I was talking about, so I told him. He said, no, no, that doesn't go into effect until March.

Methinks he just made a mistake with the date (happens a lot at the beginning of a new year for lots of people.) So, we're cool.

Have been substitute teaching, doing some Interior Design on the side, and have an inheritance that brings in some monthly money, but I really needed a salaried position and health insurance.
In short...have been surviving.
