4. I'd like to see someone dispute the thesis.
I think it speaks to our yearning to equate change with positivism and progress that makes people wince and react blindly to such statements. How can anyone intelligently argue that Hitler was not a great agent of change?

On the other hand, are all agents of negative change worth a comparison beyond that one observation? Is it fair to compare Reagan and Hitler outside of that one statement? *shrug*
