3. Pumpkin Pie > any cake you can name.
I think that neatly refutes the original hypothesis.

5. I believe this to be a conditional equation
with the outcome determined by the chef. Anything but the best pie < cake. Good pie w/excellent crust however is >+ all cakes. Creme brulee, especially if made with coconut milk, disrupts all equations IMHO.

But... adding ice cream to both sides of the equation

pie + ice cream < cake + ice cream

and that's now always true - especially if you multiply through by apple first, i.e,

apple pie + ice cream > apple cake + ice cream

however,
chocolate pie < chocolate cake

Is there a not equals symbol here? cause I'll state that pie <> cake.

11. BOOM! EXACTLY!
These fucking cake eaters hate our country! Granted, we're close to replacing "as american as apple pie" with "as american as a morbidly obese person shoving endless amounts of disgusting factory-made hostess/little debbie/etc. chocolate cake into their gaping mouths", but it hasn't happened yet.

I remember gobbling those up as a teenager (you know when I got those mysterious munchies :) ) but I took one bite a few weeks ago and about gaged, horrible stuff.

13. WRONG!!
Pie is where it's ate. Cake is just.... something for birthdays or girls or clowns or something. One thing I didn't like about not being home for thanksgiving and Christmas this year was that I didn't get to eat any of the various home-made pies provided at this time (that would likely be: apple, pumpkin, eldeberry, pecan, black berry or cherry, etc.). Pie is home made deliciousness. Cake comes from a god-damned box. Before you argue with me, just stop - you didn't go pick the chocolates off of chocolate bushes that you put in there, like my family picks the berries, apples, etc. for our pies. DON'T - EVEN - TRY - FUCKERS.

17. That depends entirely on the pie and the cake.
That's like saying brunette > blonde. And while I tend to go for brunettes, I just met an amazing, quirky, interesting, smart, funny, attractive girl who happens to be blonde. So this particular blonde > most of the brunettes I've met lately. :)

19. To quote Jim Gaffigan. "Pie is liquid cake."
"You put candles in a cake and it's somebody's birthday. You put candles in a pie and someone's drunk in the kitchen."

20. wrong
Pie is awesome, cake is way overrated. As a kid, I got my parents to get me pumpkin pie instead of cake for my birthday because cake is so blah.

23. For me, it depends on the type of cake or pie.
For example:

Lemon Meringue Pie > Coconut Cake

but

Rhubarb Pie < Chocolate Cake

I like both pie and cake, there are just some varieties of both that I don't care for. In general, I'm much more of a pie fan than a cake fan. And there is nothing, I say, nothing on this planet that is better than a good cherry pie.

Nothing!
