Any Death Cab for Cutie fans in here ?
Edited on Wed Jan-23-08 01:18 PM by UndertheOcean
Other than the normal daily dose of classical music , they are the only recent pop artists that I like these days .

There songs are just directly from the heart.

1. I dig their work.
But you're doing yourself a HUGE disservice if you think they're the only contemporary heartfelt pop-rock band with great songs. Check out Iron And Wine, The Shins, Bright Eyes or Guided by Voices and Built to Spill, to go for a couple of older bands. There's SO much great music out there!

2. I wouldn't say I'm a fan.
But I remember them being just a struggling local band playing bars in Bellingham.

They seem to be a real success story.

5. It's the simplicity
combined with emotional honesty that gets me every time.

7. I like "Where Soul Meets Body" and "Crooked Teeth"
Sort of liked "I'll Follow You Into the Dark" (I think that's the name), but it got old pretty quick. I still turn up the radio when I hear the other two. Two out of three ain't bad I guess. I haven't heard anything else by them.
