2. Got the space heater cranked to 11
and the down comforter wrapped around me, and the flannel jammies on. Too bad my apartment is so drafty, but that's what you get for living in a "charming" 100-year-old building.

It's supposed to warm up by Friday, up to freezing. They're even talking about rain over the weekend. :woohoo:

How're things going with you?

7. Other than the spill on the ice on Monday, I'm doing okay
My head's still a bit woozy, but I'll manage. My back and neck hurt more than anything, but it feels like pulled muscles, so I'm not too worried about that. I walked 1.5 miles last night so that may have aggravated things, too. You never know.

Glad to hear you have some fun coming up this weekend. Sounds like a good time!

8. You could tell the people in the unit who were from the south.
We were not used to that kind of cold weather.

I did love the snow, just dressed in lots of layers.

10. You nailed it there-- it's all about the layers
t-shirt, regular shirt, sweater. Longjohns and jeans. And cover those ears, too.

I think you have to be a little masochistic to live here-- at least for three months out of the year.

11. The Army had some great longjohns, and winter clothes.
We had really good winter boots, my feet were never cold.

We did have a few people get sick from the cold, didn't dress in layers.

17. Oooh! Real or windchill? Curious minds demand to know.
'Course, since you are from Canada, you probably don't even recognize windchill.

Windchill is kinda for wimps!

14. Sweet, I could go for that now
I miss Toronto... The other day it was so windy in Boston that I closed my eyes and remembered all the times I was almost blown over by the wind in front of my old dorm in T.O. It was like I was actually there, with the sounds of "oh yaah, eh?" ringing in my ears.

*Sniff*

16. With all due respect....that's pattycake. Tee-hee.
Clear. Lows 20 below to 25 below zero. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Wind chill readings 30 below to 40 below zero.

:hi:

Doncha just LOVE winter!!

I just got home from going out to dinner. It's pretty mild..only minus 15. BUT..that moon is looking awfully clear tonight. We are probably going down to minus 25. And that wind! Good golly!

Thankfully, it will warm up to the teens by this weekend!
