Don't laugh. My ex did this once. We were on vacation at his family's lake place and he decided to go swimming au naturel. A very short time later he was back, looking unnerved. Said he'd been standing out in the lake and a snapping turtle swam by, not too far away -- and then it submerged. He departed the lake quickly when he got to thinking about the dangly bits. They were undamaged, but it could have been really unpleasant.
