Okay--Who's up at 5:00 AM?
One of my cats usually wakes me up at 6:00, but today I woke up at 2:00 and couldn't fall back asleep, so I woke the cats up! (Now I have to feed them and clean their litterboxes).
Who else is crazy enough to be up at this hour?

1. I am.
I enjoy this time of day. It is quiet and one can write without being disturbed.

16. Wow. I've had four cups of coffee
I still feel groggy. How do you do it? I worked a night shift once, 11:00 to 7:00. Torture. I lost 20 lbs. in two months--I was never hungry.

5. You have my sympathy.
Our snowblower died in December. It had a warranty but Sears won't honor it.
Stuck in NH in the winter without a snowblower; it's like up a creek without a paddle.

27. My snowblower is on its last legs
Replacement parts don't exist, I cut up an old tire to make new "blades" and bolted them on. It sort of works.

We didn't get enough snow to bother with the machine. Nice light snow, easy to shovel. Just a little chilly, lower teens.

NH in winter? I imagine it's scenic, when you stop shoveling and look around.

:hi:

7. I'm here too!
Woke up early and decided to just get up and out of bed.

Sorry your cats woke you up. Mine (only had one) would do that once in a while. I'd race downstairs figuring she was hungry, only to find out that she just wanted up out of bed. I still miss her!

18. Oh, yes I can . . .
but I don't want to right now. My work/life schedule is so erratic, it wouldn't be fair to any animal. I take pet ownership very seriously.

21. actually
4am is my normal time to get up - gives me two hours to check e-mail, the DU, have coffee and wake up before I shower/dress and head to work

I have an hour commute - have to leave house by 6:45am if I want to miss getting stuck behind a school bus that stops every 10 ft to pick up a kid

I have to walk a doggie before work, leaving the rest of the pack to my wife.

Hell, I slept later than this in the Army.
