What's your Bacon Number?
The Bacon Number is the "degrees of separation" between anyone and Kevin Bacon.

Mine is 3:

I have printed Roger Willie's illustrations

Roger Willie was in "Adaptation" with Nancy Lenehan

Nancy Lenehan was in "Beauty Shop" with Kevin Bacon

1. 3 also.
My grandfather was an actor named Eddie Bracken.

Eddie Bracken was in "National Lampoon's Vacation" with John Candy.

John Candy was in "JFK" with Kevin Bacon.

4. I posted about it a lot when he died about 5 years ago.
It doesn't seem that long ago. I had to look it up on the Internet Movie Data Base to make sure I had the date right.

5. It doesn't seem to me that it should be that long ago either.
It's odd, though, that the first thing I think of when I think of Eddie Bracken was a role he played on The Golden Girls.

I watched a lot of "old" movies and I remember him. Is that you that wrote that touching post on IMDB?

2. I'm a 3 also.
I met and chatted with Herb Alpert.
Herb Alpert was in Ten Commandments, The (1956) with Yvonne Peattie
Yvonne Peattie was in Big Picture, The (1989) with Kevin Bacon

I'm pretty sure that's the closest I can get.

Here's the Oracle Of Bacon site, if anyone needs to use it:

9. 3 for me too.
I sang in Disney's Candlelight Processional one year with David Ogden Stiers narrating.

David Ogden Stiers was in Everyone Says I Love You with Julia Roberts.

Julia Roberts was in Flatliners with Kevin Bacon.

I did that all four years I was in high school though, so there might have been other narrators who I didn't recognize offhand that had been in movies with Kevin Bacon. Who knows? :) The only other narrator I remember performing with is Levar Burton.

10. 2.
I "met" Kyra Sedgwick in an airport waiting lounge. Kyra is, of course, married to Kevin Bacon.

Disclaimer: When I say "met" I mean she asked me if the seat next to me was taken, I looked up, realized one of my fantasy women was talking to me and, super smooth ladies' man that I am, immediately blushed red as a beet and began to babble. I think I made an impression, though, because she went and sat somewhere else.

I tried Monty Hall in it before that and the generator said the number was infinity.

Sadly, I have never had the pleasure to meet Mr. Bacon.

41. Matthau's Bacon Number is one; yours is two
According to the Oracle of Bacon, Kevin Bacon's Bacon Number is Zero; a person appearing in a film with Kevin Bacon has a Bacon Number of One; meeting such a person puts your Bacon Number at Two.

Henry Winkler has a direct line to Ron, so he has a two
