If I can't get rid of this damned cough by tomorrow, I may have to back out of my concert this weekend, as I don't want to disrupt things. But I really need the work...

I made it through rehearsal without being too disruptive. Then I came home, had chicken soup, and got back in bed. I'm getting ready to do some steam therapy, because my head feels like it's about to explode. If I'm diligent, hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow. :hi:

I'm gonna see if Mr GoG can pick some up after work. Mucinex hasn't helped, and Robitussin DM's only working when I'm sitting upright. Does Delsyn knock you out?

10. can you go to the doctor?
There are some EXCELLENT prescription cough medications.

Whenever I get a cold w/ a cough that doesn't let me rest, I head straight for the doctor. I tell her that I know it's a cold or flu, and that it has to run its course, but that I need my rest.

She hooks me up w/ some sort of cough syrup that has codeine in it.

I take it only at night so I can sleep, and during the day, I run a humidifier, wear Vicks Vapor rub, and encourage the productive cough, so I can loosen up the stuff and my chest and cough it up.

23. I'm so stuffed up I can't even smell the Vicks I rubbed in awhile ago...
Doctor's office is closed. But I'm breathing steam every hour for 15 minutes at a time, to see if that won't help.

27. A suggestion...
Go to the health food store and get one of many effective Elderberry based cough syrups or lozenges. Get some C and Zinc in ya, and it wouldn't hurt ot have a bit of oil of oregano as well.
