Where do you see yourself in five years?
Edited on Fri Jan-25-08 06:45 PM by Swede
The place I work at is getting new owners, but I don't think the company will survive. 24 years there, but it's time to move on.

I've just drunk a bottle of wine...

and my sense of humor (at this point) might be annoying for others...I'll see what everyone else says then chime in later on.

2. I have no idea
Five years ago I was a slackard bachelor.

Now I'm married with a career I love.

I like surprises so I don't dwell on the future.

4. 24 years? I salute you!
That's a long time to stay in the same place. I don't know what type of organization you work for, but I'm more interested in where you see yourself in five years!

As far as I'm concerned, I hope to be a writer, a researcher of media issues, and an advocate for improving the democratic process in this country.

I figure that she'll throw Tony Romo over by then.

To be honest with myself, maybe I've got a better shot at that Traverse City thing.

My kids will be 19 and 16 in five years, so we'll have one in college and one still in high school by then.

I'll probably still be actively involved with my hospice volunteer work.

My husband and I will celebrate 20 yrs of marriage in five more years, so that'll be great.

I'll be 49, pushing 50....wow.

51. moved either to Tulsa or Northwest Arkansas
so I can be near my son

but be out of this town

doing what?

work?

school?

both?

who knows

If someone had told me 5 years ago that I'd be living in an apartment by myself and my son would be living with his mother in our house, I'd have wondered what they were smoking.

But then again, its not like that thought had never crossed my mind (moving out)

so moving on

that's what my goal is.

but not too far

52. I don't have that clear of a picture, really
Out of graduate school, hopefully working a job that I at least can tolerate and hopefully something more stable than what I've worked thus far. Out of where I'm living now; whether that means back in my hometown and its vicinity or not I'm not sure. Hopefully with more of a clue about everything in general and happier in general than I am now... but those two are more hopes than certainties.
