I'm going into work late today.

I've been awake with a migraine since very, very early this morning.

Meds finally started working enough that I can tolerate lights. I can tolerate looking at the monitor, and here I am online. :hi:

I'm waiting until the pounding and sound-sensitivity goes away before I head into the office. I sent an e-mail to let my boss and coworkers know what's going on.

So, that means I can post here for a little while. :)

I'd love to take the day off, but I have a meeting this afternoon with two VPs that I can't postpone. x(

Ah well. Today is definitely a day...

I am here at work, already collecting ducats from co-workers for the weekly extravaganza known as "Chinese Tuesday" when I order about $100 worth of lunch specials for people all over the office. YUM.

I used to organize a big group-lunch with people here. But there has been so much turn-over, and we get scheduled for so many lunch-time meetings, that it all sort of fell apart.

5. Ugh! I'm so sorry
Migraines are the worst and to me, the way the meds leave me feeling is nearly as bad. Kinda like a hangover.

Little by little I'm feeling better. I'm going to feel kind of stupid all day because of the residual headache and the med I took. But I'll be good enough to manage.

When you finally get back to work, I hope it goes quickly so you can come back here. :)

I've been intrigued by the possible link between migraines and bipolar disorder. I tend to get headaches and am excruciatingly sensitive to stimuli when I'm having a mood episode.

I hope you feel better! Migraines SUCK.

They've been my uninvited guest for many decades. Proper meds and clean living keep them to a minimum. Still have to deal with 'em though :shrug:

When I wake up with a migraine my cats scatter and watch me from a distance. And I'm very greatful for that. A cat meowing loudly and asking for attention would be more than I could handle this morning. :(

20. Nah! I have morning (all day) sickness! Feels like a stomach bug!
But at least there is something positive that will come from it. No positive things come from a migraine. Except I will say the best feeling in the world is after finally falling asleep with a migraine, waking up to feeling good! Feels like heaven!! Hope you feel better!

21. Thom, I was thinking of you yesterday....
I got a call from the ALS center in Union Square and went down there on short notice. Spent the entire afternoon and left late. Maybe I'll catch up to you next time.
