Well, Loungers... I'm officially running for a local office!

A while back someone had asked about new years resolutions, to which I said, "I will become involved in local politics". I got an "atta girl" from at least one person for that.

You DO know what happens when you "get involved" locally, don't you? You meet some really great people who have been busting their buns locally with issues that echo across the nation. I decided to run for a city council seat.

I'm going up against an appointed person for the originally elected Ward, and as it so happens, would probably be endorsed by the local Democrats. However, this was never a major concern for me, and I expect to get FAR more out of it than I'm putting in, BTW, I am putting in a lot of time!
