5. Fortunately for me as well as him, or elst I'd have to kill him.
He's very private about his faith. And, he's still a good democrat.

I can't help but think his brush with death 1 1/2 years ago is what brought this on. As far as born agains go, he's the most harmless of the lot.

a non-smoking version of DU.

years ago when the whole smoking ban in bars/restaurants controversy hit my area, the ban hadn't been passed yet, but it was in the works

ennywho, the bar already had a smoking and non-smoking section. the smoking section was packed elbow to elbow, while the non-smoking section was practically empty

a couple of friends of friends showed up, and after a few minutes said they would be happy when the ban on smoking was passed. I pointed to the non-smoking room and suggested they go sit there.

"oh no, it's boring in there."

well the smoking ban eventually passed, and we went to the bar, at first we thought we wouldn't be able to get in because it appeared to be a line outside of the bar. Nope, all the smokers were outside, inside you could hear crickets.
