But on the other hand, it probably makes everything ya spark up taste like corn.

You do need to be careful, though, in case said corncob burns through at the bottom, depositing it's burning contents in your lap. Don't ask how I know or what contents I speak of.

5. Actually they smoke just as nicely as briar pipes in the $30-$50 range.

I have several Corn Cob pipes that I enjoy every now and then, they smoke quite clean.
