for the doctor, can somebody post some unappetizing stuff? Already, even though I ate dinner the psychology of knowing I can't eat is making me hungry!

Even though I've been working there since July as a temp, they have to have me do a complete physical before they take me on as a perm. employee. I've had to fast before, but usually that was for only 8 hours.

35. Where do you live?

In Georgia they can ONLY test to make sure you have the physical ability to do the job. They can do the drug test, test your hearing, vision, dexterity etc. But anything that would require fasting that I can think of would be an illegal intrusion.

If they provide fully paid life insurance then the insurance company may ask for a physical, but that would not affect your employment - only your insurability.

They have to check my blood as well. Cholesterol etc. Since I work with potential bloodborn hazards companies have the right to establish a baseline of my health before starting. For legal coverage if nothing else.
