There's a NASCAR driver on Teevee's Craig Ferguson who's Scottish!

With a foine Scottish name, too: Dario Franchitti. :crazy:

I thought to drive NASCAR you had to be a native resident of Alabama, Georgia or the Carolinas.

Though, if Hamilton won a few races, I'd love to see the look on the faces of all the rednecks in the crowd, seeing not only a Briton, but a Briton of African descent holding the race trophy on high.

9. Wendell Scott got along reasonably well in NASCAR

Ex hoops star Brad Daugherty has some involvement in the sport and wore the number 43 because that was Richard Petty's number.

Marc Davis is a development driver for Joe Gibbs racing. As a 17yr old high school student he is getting alot of press. Perhaps he will become the modern day Wendell Scott. Although I don't think anyone will ever duplicate that stunt of pulling the motor out of the car before the cops caught up with him.
