PEDRO.
Period. Complete game, 11 K's, left Salmon frozen at the plate for the last out. 96+ mph pitches in his last five throws.

The Man.

15. That was McNamera's fault, too
McNamera is one of the biggest jackasses the Sox have ever had for a bench manager.

if he had brought Stanley in sooner the Series would have been ours.

6. Yankees Lost Tonight-2.5 Games
Oakland Won though.

Pedro was amazing. He was almost overshadowed by Damon's amazing 7th inning catch.

GO SOX!

16. keep telling yourself that;)
this isn't last year, nor is this the past 85 years. This is this year, and if the sox do crumble, it wouldn't be in september anyways, they face oakland and seattle for 4 series'coming up shortly, if they do "crumble", which you can only hope for, it will be then, and not in september (much easier schedule). However, if they do make short work of the A's and the Mariners, the sox-yanks series at the end of the month should be incredible. hope springs eternal...

10. Pedro....
is awesome indeed...he threw a no-hitter at San Diego once for 9 innings, but his team couldn't score, and he had to leave the game with no decision. Is that sad or what?

13. Feh
He threw six perfect innings in relief against the Indians to get to the ALCS in 1999. This came after fanning seventeen Yankees and allowing only one hit in Babe's house. Astute baseball witnesses called it the most dominant pitching performance they'd ever seen.

The Man.

14. This Anaheim series has been awesome baby!
Oh God now I sound like Dick Vitale.

The come-from-behind win on Tuesday and now this gem from the Sox.

Pedro's last inning was just amazing! Damon's catch was a thing to remember and Ortiz' belly flop of a triple made the ground shake all the way up here. :-)

And then I watched the 9th inning of the Yankees' game.
