1. I'll try my best...
"Let's say you have a milkshake, and I have a milkshake, and I have a straw that reaches alllllll the way across the room and starts to drink your milkshake. I drink your milkshake! SLLLUUURRRPPPP! I DRINK IT UP!"

I don't remember everything directly before or after that, but he's talking about oil drainage.

2. Its the point when the movie jumps the shark.

The main character goes nuts. Its dramatic and makes an impression. Its also kind of funny. I've re-enacted the scene several times today.

He's making the point that he already drained the oil out from under the land this guy owns because he drilled all around it.

4. That's exactly right. It did jump the shark at that moment.
I was pissed.

3. Known as the rule of capture.
Oil is fugacious, it moves around a lot. Texas has the rule of capture.

Daniel Plainview sounds like he would do slant drilling to get the other guy's oil, which is illegal.

5. Also why Saddam said he invaded Kuwait.
He claimed they were sapping Iraq's oil.
