Is anyone else watching October Road on ABC...

It's really a sweet show about a group of guys from a small Mass. town who are growing older and learning how to deal with life after they finally give up their glory days...

The twist is one of the main characters wrote a best seller about growing up in a small Mass. town and the foibles that entailed...

He hadn't been back for years and then, he is back to teach a writing class at the local college...

(Doesn't every small New England town have a college...)

Anyway, it's good without being whiney about life like 30 Something or My So Called Life or the new series on NC, Quarrier Life, you guessed it, by the people who brought you 30 Something and MSCL...

Anyway, it's a nice little diversion that I enjoy...

And you could use one these days, I think...
