I used to be a dyed-in-the-sheets Stones fan, had lots of their albums/CDs,

but in the last approx. 5 years their music is not nearly so appealing to me as it once was. I rarely listen to it these days.

And the more the Beach Boys' and Everly Brothers' music appeals to me.

All 3 groups, I've liked their music for decades.

Anyone have similar experience?

I'm not going through such sea changes in middle age, but yes, there are albums I can't believe I ever bought and loved. Gary Wright's The Dream Weaver, ELO's Out of the Blue, or almost anything by ABBA, spring to mind.
