Kids say the darnedest things...

So, I pick up my 7th grade, smart-ass daughter from school. She relates the following story.

This boy that I don't much like, and who doesn't like me either, grabbed another boy around his neck and then asked him, "Tim, are you in heat?" My daughter, overhearing it said, "What do you mean, Mike?" Mike replied, "Tim's neck feel's thick, and when deer are in heat, their necks get thicker."

To which my daughter replies, "Mike, do you know what it means to be 'in heat?'" To which he further replied, "Yeah, it means you're real hot." My daughter asks, "Well, Mike, are you in heat?"

He answers, "Not right now."
