Why does Windows Movie Maker SUCK so much?

The end results you get from it are pretty good... but it freezes every five friggn' minutes!

Find a good open-source video editor. They're free and tend to have all of the same basic functionality and are sometimes nicer than the prepackaged stuff.

stutters on with Vista. This thing would run Linux like. . .something very fast.

Seriously, unless you want to spend the mucho dinero to upgrade to a serious professional grade suite like Avid, get a Mac if you're doing a lot of Video Editing.

Final Cut Express HD is the best home video editing software package out there.
