I need inspiration for Spring Cleaning my Bedroom.
It's been a long, cold winter, and it is time to finally address the stuff I've been putting off, starting with my bedroom.

Now, here comes my shame. My bedroom has (gasp) painted over wallpaper (I didn't do it, I promise) that needs to come down. Since I have NO IDEA what is underneath, I am holding off on buying any paint.

I can tell you that I love the color blue, but am not really looking for shabby chic.

Where do you all go to get inspiration/ideas? :)

1. I just painted over wallpaper

Again! I got some stuff from the paint store that permanently sealed it to the wall. The paper was professionally done so maybe that makes a difference. I painted over the dining room too with the same stuff 5 years ago. Then painted it green and not a peel- Our room is now light yellow on top of the white chair rail and gold underneath. Looks great!

2. some of the wallpaper is peeling off...
so i thought I'd bite the bullet and get it all squared away this season.

I am not sure I wanna spring for more bedroom furniture just yet...but I might be moved. My stuff now is just Ikea.

6. my favorite places for decorating ideas:
resort websites, especially for bedrooms because the high end resorts are always so calm and peaceful.

My favorite look is more of an Asian tropical look. Think Bali or Malaysia. Below are my favorites:

9. HGTV: Rate My Space
I LOVE THIS SITE!!

http://ratemyspace.hgtv.com/SNC/Main.aspx?pguid=6db6be3f-1720-4ba3-a081-999042c09b6b

People decorate their rooms, then take pictures and upload them. The site is sorted by different room catagories (Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Kitchens, Kids rooms, etc..) so you can just look at all of the different bedrooms. Some are awesome - some not so good. Also, many different styles depending on what you're looking for.

I actually just did my 2 year olds bedroom right after Christmas. We moved her out of her nursery into a "big girl" bedroom, and I posted a few pics of her room:

Good Luck!
