I have an idea for a documentary film...
I'd like to do something on the horror tv hosts of the 60-present. Good idea or bad idea?

Either that or Eli Lilly, since they are based in Indy.

3. There was some GREAT ones!!
Ernie Anderson "Ghoulardi" later the voice of ABC-TV (Tonight, on VEGAS...) His son directed Boogie Nights. Ernie died of cancer. There's a book available...

Ron Sweet "The Ghoul" Met him when I was a teen, went on to do my own version on Armed Forces TV in 1976-78. My version ended up with two movies from midnite Friday, and Sat Night Live type sketches with a cast and crew of off-duty firemen and SPs (cops). It was LIVE, and insane...

"Chilly Bill" Cardille former wrestling announcer, Pittsburgh icon.

Kef, my friend, I can't believe we didn't hang out in Indy!!! You should have come to our office, it was right down by Pike High School.

Hope all is well with you...

What other tv hosts do you recall? Was there an Indy version? I also recall a guy in Philly who was pretty big...

ANYONE but Bush!!!

6. Same here!!!
I think we both moved in the same week...

I've had MUCH chaos!!!

I'm now running a county recorder primary. The sitting Dem is a career guy, intending on jumping back to a state seat in 2 years. My guy promises 4 years. Recieved a congerssional district group endorsment this week, much leg work, phone calls and just plain BULLS#*T!!!

There's a documentary in this town!!! We have a regular Wednesday spagetti lunch at a small private club, with judges, cops, bookies, etc... These guys tell stories of drinking Scotch with Harry Truman!!! I've seen pix of these guys riding in cars with JFK in 1960!!!

You take care, my friend...

Rick

7. the Boogie Nights guy wants to do a movie based on his father, Ghoulardi

there's a great book about it that got me thinking along similar lines, until I learned his actual son was going to try it.

Fascinating little bit of Americana, I'm partial to Vampira myself. Pestered her for Orson Welles stories. He gave her the clap.

Charming to see people keep the tradition alive via public access shows these days, and the rare syndicated holdout here and there. I'm surprised their isn't a good Bmovie channel with more of this sort of thing - there was one, but I think it died out by now.

When I get old and cranky, I hope to host a show watched by three people, airing horribly obscure things with tinny soundtracks and rubber masks.

Meanwhile, give it a try. Dunno if you grabbed a camera yet, I recall you asking a while back. If so, just start, the momentum should keep you rolling down the hill... that is, until you get mired in eternal editing and wonder about the worth of the project, yourself, and your place in the universe.

Oh wait, that last part was just projection. Scratch that.
