The funny thing is the guy who did that video got famous, but that's about it. Whereas his girlfriend who wrote the song ended up selling it for commercial use and making big bucks. :P

4. Oh man, someone on another board asked this same question
I'm certain that it's Philip Glass, and I believe it's from Metamorphosis, but I wasn't able to determine which exact piece (there are several parts, all of them similar).

This person on the other board insisted it was NOT Philip Glass, but I'm convinced that it is.
