Blue Öyster Cult's "Imaginos" has been re-released on CD!

...their "last" album, from 1988 (well before the modern-era reunions) and actually a Joe Bouchard solo project that turned into a BOC album when Buck Dharma & crew showed up in the studio.

I've held on to my original vinyl version of the album for years. The first CD release came and went so fast I didn't even know it existed. The new version is on "American Beat" records, a label I've never heard of, but they have my gratitude for bringing back this classic.

The highlights were / are remakes of "Astronomy" and "Subhuman" (renamed "Blue Öyster Cult") from "Secret Treaties," opening track "I Am the One You Warned Me Of" (classic BOC menace) and the bone-rattling "The Siege and Investiture of Baron von Frankenstein's Castle At Weisseria" (with its amazing shout-refrain of "CARPE DIEM!" followed by slammed barre chords)...
