4. Paul McCartney. Sigh...
He was absolutely IT.

Well, there was also Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits, and Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones, too.

And Richard Chamberlain.

And various and sundry teenage box boys at the local grocery store.

5. Her daddy, Sir John Mills, was quite handsome when he was young.
In 9th grade we had to read "Great Expectations" (YAWN)...

We had to watch the movie, made circa 1948, and the young John Mills as Pip was the only good thing in it, as far as I was concerned.

11. I liked a girl named Lisa so much...
that I used to wait for her to walk down the street so I could chase her and throw her books to the ground. Funny, she kept coming by every day. It became a prepubescent ritual of some sort.

I wrote "I Love you Rick" in the snow outside his classroom, together with our initials in a heart.

He knew who I was, but didn't have the slightest interest in me. I was a baby, after all (one grade behind him).

I moved when I was 15, leaving my first girlfriend behind. Went back to KC to work the summer after I turned 18 and it never dawned on me to call her up and ask her out. What a dork I am/was/will be.

Powers Booth from HBO's Philip Marlowe series. Also I was wild about David, from across the street. Looking back, he was one of my better crushes. He was smart and funny, which meant that he had a lot more going for him than crushes I got after hormones totally took over my body.

My daughter is 12 now, and she has a crush on David Tennant, and the guy who plays Captain Jack on Torchwood.

143. I was looking for some more photos of Jan and found this...

James Brolin's Ex Recovering After Naked Traffic Accident

The ex-wife of Barbra Streisand's husband James Brolin is recovering in hospital after a bizarre traffic accident. Actress Jan Smithers, a star of beloved TV sitcom WKRP In Cincinnati, was driving naked when she stopped for help after her car broke down on a remote California highway in the middle of the night.

She was hit by a truck after the driver caught sight of the 58-year-old waving him down too late. She has been recovering from her injuries ever since the September accident, but family members fear her health issues might be more than a few broken bones.

A family friend tells the National Enquirer she fears Smithers suffered a mental breakdown following the death of her father. The pal says, "Everyone thinks Jan felt abandoned and snapped - a complete meltdown."

Ironically, police called to the scene of the accident found nothing wrong with her car and are puzzled as to why the actress stopped for help. Smithers can't remember anything about the accident or why she was driving naked in the middle of the night.

She and Brolin wed in 1985 and had one daughter, Molly, together. They divorced in 1995, three years before the actor wed Streisand.

She was hot, and flirted with me, like, one and a half times (even though I knew she didn't actually like me in *that* way- she flirted with just about any guy)... and that was all it took.
