When I was young, one of my mother's aunts was slipped some acid at a party. She ended up institutionalized. I've never touched the stuff since I heard her story. Be careful!

It hasn't happened since the second time, so I'll keep my fingers crossed....just me in my room watching one of the brilliant ( if not the most brilliant sci-fi flick ever ) just a tad bit "enlightened"....

Maybe due to the compound, but more than that, due to the nature of what it does to your mind map. It dissolves previous patterns, those imprinted upon us as citizens. Blade Runner is a classic, playing on the concept of the oppressed against the oppressor. I think anything would be rather more interesting on acid. Good trip to you, enlightenment is only a breath away.

I don't do this often, mind you..but I happened upon some tonight. I couldn't think of a better movie to watch this to, and sci-fi is the ultimate to watch....I think it's done now. I will give my best Siskel-Ebert I can guys! :toast:

I've never tried acid, but I'm curious about what it is like.

The first time I tried it, I had no idea what to expect. It is VERY hard to describe, but the best way I can describe it is that it really wakes you up, both mentally AND physically. You kind of get some charge ( like you drank 20 pots of coffee ) and your body just FEELS totally alive like it has never been before, and as far as the mental part...you see some really weird shit ( things you normally look at and take no interest in become very interesting all of a sudden )..

This is just the tip of the iceberg.....hope that helps

Took it on an almost deserted beach with some friends. I had a long chat with God, saw creatures from another realm in the clouds and turned into sand. Next day I had the most ferocious sunburn of my life. Fortunately, I was pretty well covered up on that beach because it had been a cold day, but everything that had been exposed was bright scarlet.

You might try it if you ever get terminally ill. There were some studies done back in the sixties and seventies that showed it improved the mental outlook of dying patients, but those got scratched when the War on Drugs went after psychedelics.

There are a couple of sections where unreal things happen in a seamless - yes it is impossible but it is happening none-the-less kind of way.

You can get somewhat the gist of a trip if you watch the movie.

plus it is a lot of fun. and totally legal!

This is the epitome of futuristic movies, if you like that kind of stuff...I certainly do. The visuals were VERY stunning, as well as the sound and lighting effects...they left me in utter awe through the whole movie! Granted, I've seen this movie many times before, but certainly NOT like this!!!

I STRONGLY urge anyone who has not seen this movie ( and I have met a FEW people who haven't ) to see it either straight-headed or on some acid ( m'wa ) this movie has a great deal to offer...lots of food for thought here. Being in the theatre business, I am fascinated by the lighting and sound involved in this production, and this was WAY ahead of its time in my opinion ( just try it on acid, people..TRUST ME )
