My kitty cats.
I love them so. I used to consider myself strictly a "dog person," but since we adopted these guys, I'm finding myself more and more in love with the little fur balls.

Please post your kitty photos!

We call him Popple and Midget.

He's pure piss and vinegar--a spunky little devil.

6. Thank you!
He's really a mischevous kitty, but he's also so sweet he drips sugar.

I had surgery three weeks ago, and he sleeps on my chest every night. He missed me so when I was in the hospital, that my mother said he sat by the front door and meewed for me for hours at a time.

I love them both. The kitty in the top photo, Mr. Meow Meow, rolls over on his back like a dog for me to scritch his belly. He loves belly scritches.

Thanks for the compliment! I love my kitties. :D

42. Midg is ALWAYS up to mischeif.
We bought him one of those stuffed mice, with an electronic squeaker embedded inside it.

He took it straight to the waterbowl, dropped it inside, and then held it down with his paw.

Ok, thought I. Just a weird thing. He certainly didn't MEAN to drown the mouse.

So I put it in my bedroom and let it dry out. Next day, gave it back to him.

He picked it up, took it right to the waterbowl, and drown it again.

He's a silly bad cat. :D

10. Hi, Hawk. Their names are Mr Meow Meow (the first cat) and Midget (the second one)
Edited on Tue Apr-01-08 09:38 PM by Maddy McCall
We call the second one Popple and Midget, so he knows both names.

And they HAVE met the frog! They sit in front of my laptop and paw at him when he smiles.

18. The black one (AKA: "Kitty") is a boy.
The lil one (AKA: "Lil Kitty") is a girl.

They have theor moments of affection. Lil girl is still a baby so her playfulness and stubborn disposition piss the other cat and the dog off a lot. She's learning to chillax more, though.

80. My mother had a Yorkie.
Her name was Rosie. They're great little dogs. Mom used to bring her over when she visited The two cats I had at the time, Hamlet and Ophelia, were terrified of her. It was hilarious to see her chase them around the apartment. Then one day it apparently dawned on Hamlet that he was more than twice Rosie's size. After that she would bark at him, and he would just look at her as if to say, "Give me a break!"

84. That's pretty much what she does
with Ed now. They use to beat up on each other a lot. He would chase her and tackle her. She would wait until he went to sleep and then swat he nose. Or she would hide on something and jump on him as he walked under her. Fortunately they are getting older and starting to calm down.

who got caught in a neighbor's humane trap. I was gonna just keep her overnight in my dog kennel, but, the next morning there were eight tiny newborns in the cage with her. :)

Almost two years later, she's still with us. My hubby just said earlier tonight that it was time to pick out a name for her. Any ideas?

Here are 5 of her 8 babies. I've posted the pic before, but it's just so darn cute...

57. He does seem to pose nice and pretty for it.
All I have to do is call his name and he looks right at it. He's great at it.

Domino was such a sweet girl. I'll never forget how gentle and sweet she was. Yogi is her litter mate and he has the same gentle way about him. They would never scratch you when playing with you. Yogi loves to crawl up on my chest when I'm leaning back in the recliner. He puts his little head up against my neck or on my shoulder and sleeps. He's so sweet.

Domino always spoke to me every time I left the room and came back in. She spoke as if we hadn't seen each other for years. It has been so eerily quiet without her. Yogi is trying to make up for it by talking to me more now. I can tell he is trying to help me but he's been a little depressed since losing her too.

This whole family is pulling each other through this in different ways I never expected. Domino was the glue that held us all together, so we are actually still adjusting the best we can.

Sunday Girl, of course, just wants a little of whatever we are eating (or most of it if we turn our heads for second) and to drink out of the bathroom faucet. That's her ritual and she's sticking to it. She gets on the commode and walks around it in a circle to position herself to jump on the bathroom sink. She does it the same way every time. She gets mad and starts throwing the toothbrush, toothpaste, and anything else she can reach into the floor if we don't comply quick enough for her wants. She's spoiled rotten. I don't know how that happened. I had nothing to do with it. ;)

Re: "dog person"
I consider myself a "critter" person now. At one time, I considered myself more of a cat person, but I love dogs too. I even puppy sit for my mother when she has to go out of town. I enjoy that. Puppy sitting my mother's dog could be marketed as the cure for insomnia. He has a routine and part of it is demanding that I get in the recliner, pick him up (he's a tiny little poodle) and lean back so he can nap. It doesn't take 5 minutes in the recliner with him before sleep comes and gets you. It's not just dozing off. It's like a relaxation that washes over you. It's amazing. That dog just puts off "relax" vibes like nothing I've ever seen, if that makes any sense.

61. LOL
My dogs have that effect on me. Lucinda, my minischnauzer, likes to get in my lap when I'm on the chaise end of the sofa and curl up. Next thing I know, I wake up with a snoring dog!

Thanks for the kitty compliment!

62. All beautiful, SG.
I love Katie! A long-haired black cat!

I might start looking for a new addition to our family...if I can find a long-haired black cat, I won't even think before I sign the adoption papers.

Lovely animals...Cloe, too!

63. She is a beauty, isn't she?
My sister has another of Baby Cat's kitten's, and that one is almost the spitting image of Baby. Her name is Abby (or, as my sister often calls her, Abby Doodle. :) )

67. What beautiful kitties!
So many great pictures.

Here are some of mine:

Tabitha. Rescued by my f-i-l. She was wandering around, crying, hungry and one side covered with tar (must have wandered into someone's driveway when they were redoing it). She is almost 8.

This was Ditto. Named so because she was a mirror image of her mom. She is who I chose my screen name for. We lost her 4 years ago. Still miss her.

Another of my Rainbow Bridge kitties. This was Quincy. Such a funny and fun cat. Also a stray. Ditto lived to 17 1/2 but he died when he was only 3. A heart ailment (I forgot the name). He is the one in the picture in my posts (with Tabitha). I just can't bring myself to change the picture yet.

Juniper. The only one we have had since she was a kitten. She now has "senority" among the cats.

Jaxs (Jaxsy) and Special. I didn't name them. Adopted as adults from the same people I adopted my dog Aja from. Cuties.

I have 4 more but I don't have pictures of them on photobucket yet.

73. The kit in the top, Mr. (Meow)2, has the face of a model.
I mean that cat can do commercials. Hey, why NOT make him help out with the rent?

82. Our lovable short bus kitty.
She loves to chase her own tail at age two, has been known to walk into walls and bring live mice into the house for catch and release.
