LOL! My company just sent out an e-mail etiquette memo

Edited on Thu Apr-03-08 03:01 PM by turtlensue and pretty much everyone one DU breaks every rule. Don't post LOL,FYI that sort of stuff. DO NOT WRITE IN CAPS. Don't spam. Don't forward on chain e-mails. Don't publically flame someone and cc everyone. Treat your e-mail like a postcard..don't right anything you wouldn't say in public. This is priceless.......:rofl: On edit: and oh yeah..don't overuse emoticons..:rofl: :rofl: :popcorn: :rofl: :woohoo: :spank: :silly:

Dear enduser, if you receive an e-mail that appears to have errantly included you, please think twice before hitting the "Reply All" button and looking like an idiot. Couple months ago, the company I work for (which is pretty large) was treated to an "All Employee" reply about a Fantasy Sports league thing. 50 people responded to the e-mail via "Reply All" with such incredible tidbits as "why am I getting this?" which caused persons 24-30 to "Reply All" with a "please take me off this e-mail chain".

14. you have emoticons on your email?

we have rules and etiquette, but my fav is to reply to all, and cc a few new ones since sometimes shit I get is like addressed to me but has like 10 cc's on it. I hate that shit. Usually someone trying to make me look bad. So I reply with the answer they don't want to hear and cc my people in power that need to know too.
