NYC DUer's need some info please....
I will be going to Kleinfelds Bridal with my daughter in a few weeks.
and we were wondering if there is anything close to here or how far away is Rockefeller Ctr..
the store is at 110 w. 20th st.
and I see RC is about 20 blocks away...
not walkable (for me at least) :)
so a cab would be ok to get there
unless anyone knew of a nice place to have lunch.. or something else to do near the shop

thanks!!! :hi:

11. There is one at 696 AVENUE OF THE AMERICAS.
One block down from where you will be. Its on the corner of 22nd and ave of americas (6th).

2. BTW, are you taking the PATH train in?
It stops at 23rd and 6th. I'm not real familiar with that area. I worked in the WFC and also in mid-town.

Thats why I'm trying to find out if there is anything to do...

3. It looks like you're right by the Flat Iron Building
Which is on 23rd Street and 5th Avenue.

6th Avenue Between 23rd Street and 14th Street is chock full of stores, Burlington Coat Factory, Bed Bath and Beyond, The Container Store.

There is a faboo new barbeque place on 26th Street called Hill Country. There is also a place on 23rd Street called Rub near 7th Ave. It's near the historic Chelsea hotel.

There's a nice fusion restaurant on 23rd and 8th ave. called East of 8.

Oh, and on 23rd between 6th and 5th there's a great diner called The Comfort Diner right across the street from Home Depot.

There used to be a big Barnes and Noble on 22nd and 6th, but I think it closed.

if you feel like taking a walk down to 18th Street, there's a lot happening around Union Square, and a ton of restaurants around there as well. On the south side of Union Square on 14th Street there's a big DSW shoe store.

And if you feel like taking a little walk a few blocks east, the Grammercy Park area is very pretty.

12. Not just DSW, but Filene's Basement!...
...same location. Whole Foods right next door. Virgin Megastore just east of that. Trader Joe's a further block east. The Strand: a great bookstore at 12th and Broadway, a few blocks south of Union Square. At 10th and Broadway is Grace Church, an amazing place and they sometimes have free music.

5. OOOO Kleinfeld...
Lucky you, I had to trek into Brooklyn to get to Kleinfeld.

*no offense to Brooklyn DUers but when you live in Manhattan, and have to trek into unfamiliar territory in ANY of the boroughs, well, it's initmidating.
