About 1 mile each way of this is on cobblestone.
The elites take off at 8:30 then the waves start. Mine is supposed to go off at 9AM.

At least it isn't as lame as the Easter parade which is on the same street and is nothing but people in funny hats (the people are the parade :eyes: ) and lots and lots of vodka

How to participate
You must be a registered participant in the 2008 Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k and must wear your race number.
Check in at the Richmond Times-Dispatch tent in Monroe Park at least 30 minutes prior to your wave start time. Registration opens at 6:45 a.m. and closes at 9:20 a.m.
You must wear your costume while you participate in the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k.
Winners will be notified after crossing the finish line.
Winners must go to the Richmond Times-Dispatch tent in Monroe Park after concluding the race to accept their prize.
