A big shout out to the lounge lingerers tonight....
I just can't sleep,
and wandered in.
I rarely post here,
as I've prefered the Primaries group..

What was I thinking?
Talk about migraines, and blood pressure eruptions,
and biting fingernails down to the quick.

Tonight the lounge is mellow, introspective,
and sweet.

Thanks for the sanity!
Maybe I'll hang out in here more often.
and let the bashers bash without me.

It's so nice to be nice...

Usually if I peek in the lounge,
its pretty raucous...

But, as I said, compared to other
places here at DU, tonight is an oasis.

What time is it in California?
Here in PA its 2:29 a.m. EDT

7. I'm plenty addicted to politics (Shit, I'm a political science major)...
And I do follow the race (even though I'm Canadian), but the level of discourse in GD:P is just mind-numbingly stupid. It was pretty stupid BEFORE the primaries started, but since, it's just a massive orgy of stupidity. I'm not a huge fan of Hillary or Barack, but the discourse on this site has made me sick to death of both camps.

So I just hang out in here and toss around obscure musical references while the rest of the lounge reveres me and my god-like stature. (And by "reveres me and my god-like stature" I mean "occasionally patronizes me but generally ignored me because they have no idea what the shit I'm talking about, haha.)

9. I don't know what happened this year...
I think the USA is so batshit sick of the Bushistas,
and the MSM, that the possibility of a change is intoxicating,
and we've all chosen up sides (the SHarks and the Jets?)
and it's like we're obsessively in love/hate with
whomever... its just uncontrollable...

But the conversation- if you want to call it that-
is insane. Absolutely over reactive...
lizard brains trying to have conversation...

Pass the tranquilizers.

11. Maybe we should start our own little coven...
of civility....

I have several holes in my head from exploding words
from some of the 'discussions' (I use that term loosely)
on GDP.
