I just got the BEST news via Facebook!!

Via an old friend...Another old friend is alive!! He's had 3 kidney transplants and fell off the face of the earth...I thought he was dead. Nope! Alive and well and married!

Fucking YAY!!!

I am SO happy and so relieved. :D

3. I can imagine...

I remember last year one day I thought for the whole day that a friend of mine had died. When I found out it was someone else with the same name I was very relieved. (Even though, you know, still sad about the girl who did die.)

What an incredible story! I hope you have a chance to talk to him again and catch up on his amazing life. I assume surviving three transplants means there have been some pretty severe highs and lows in his life. That must make for an interesting person.

Think he'll be shocked by your econ godessness or do you think he expects this from you?

Advancements in transplantation are quite rapid, I think. It was only some decades ago when it was considered a breakthrough for a transplanted organ to survive for a matter of days. Now there are some fortunate enough to be given years of fruitfulness.

Good news for him, good news for you and his significant others. And, good news for me in a way - giving myself a bit more belief can only help.
